the master cat has returned from his nightly prowl. or maybe he was frolicking through the backyard. do cats frolick? mm, no. i think he just meowed "hello" to me. either that or "i’m hungry, feed me now." although he seems to be really digging having me scratch his head, so i’m thinking he was actually saying "i’m back. you must stop what you’re doing and focus all your attention on me now." he just meowed again. that one has to be "i’m hungry, feed me now." but i’m still scratching under his chin. typing with one hand sucks… ok, he’s done with me. i feel so used. and i feel my allergies kicking in. maybe i should get one of those hairless cats… but the furry kind are so much cuter. if i ever want another pet, i think its going to have to be fish. or a robot dog. have they invented robot cats yet?

my turtle sitting job of christmas through new years is over. nothing major happened. he sat, walked around his cage and my living room, ate his veggies and his occasional banana treat, pooped and peed. he was a very quiet, polite guest in my apartment (except for the times he walked onto my foot and then just stood there on my foot) and i was very sad when he went back home. the apt felt so empty and i felt so lonely after he left. i almost wanted to get a turtle of my own. almost. in other news, i got 3 new cds… well, 2 new ones (2005) and 1 fairly recent one (2003). and two of those were used. so anyways, i  got i am the avalanche - decent, but the vocals aren’t the greatest although they’re a cool band to see live. love their song "i took a beating". its a song that i think my boyfriend could’ve written. spitalfield (2003) - i have it on repeat but haven’t really had a chance to sit down and listen to it. and allister - haven’t listened to it yet. so far overall i’m pretty satisfied with the new additions to my cd collection. i still need something by jack johnson. maybe i’ll spend some of the money andrea gave me for christmas on a jack johnson cd.
